Two-piece suit made using Vogue pattern # 8355 with slight changes Peplum jacket: Fitted at waist and flares out at hip. Self piping made from raw silk fabric added to neckline, top and bottom waist and back shoulder panels. Wool fabric has soutache-like threads sewn in a swirling design. Wool was used for sleeves, top bodice and front and back peplum, bottom of collar, & back bodice panel. Raw natural silk used for all piping, front neckline, top collar, front fitted waistband, and cuffs. Jacket has three-quarter sleeves. Fully lined with burgandy polyester satin. Six front decorative metal buttons.
Straight Skirt: Body and piping out of the raw silk, border trim from the wool. Fully lined, zipper back closure and back vent.
