Kristine Kay (Kristine Balinski ) Category: silk

I used a dress pattern from the Burda Style magazine, June 2010, pattern #106/107 with a few minor modifications. I changed the gathers on the skirt to a smooth seam with an a-line skirt shape. I used 100% silk habotai from Haberman Fabrics, in Royal Oak, Michigan, purchased earlier this spring. I used purchased piping to edge the neckline and the sleeves (which I also shortened). I placed the border print along the hem of the skirt, and also on the waistband. I've posted more details at my blog, with more detailed pictures, here (but it was before I removed the gathers on the skirt).
