Sharon1952 (Sharon Cumiskey ) Category: cotton

This is a 100% cotton fabric from fabric.com. I bought it for a skirt, but it had a little bit too much body. The jacket is made from the Indygo Junction pattern called "Inside Out Jacket" IJ839. This is a loose fitting comfortable artsy type jacket. After making the jacket I thought it was just a little too blah. So... I made some 50/50 watery bleach and bleached out circles randomly (using a prescription bottle on the top of the trash!)on some fabric. The fringe, pocket, back circle, and back tab were cut from that bleached fabric. After completion it was still missing something so I bleached out the lapels also. The fringe is attached with a wing needle to make a unique edge treatment.
