||Lutterloh:Mini Wardrobe Composite Review (Suits / Separates)
||Hola Pattern Review friends! This is my entry for the Mini-Wardrobe Contest. Voting starts on October 3!
Early last Spring, I looked at myself in the mirror, when I got back up off the floor I realized changes had to be made in the mirror. It showed me as a 62 year old woman that needed to shed some pounds.
I had also just given away all of last year's summer clothing. I vowed to make more.
Well I didn't. I purchased several gauze outfits in yummy colors. And I felt great in them until I saw a photo of myself on the front page of the paper.
AAaah. that camera was also showing an old looking short person carrying extra pounds.
Changes had to be made! Weight loss takes a lot of time, new clothing is fast. So I brought out my Lutterloh pattern system to sew some clothing. I also got re-connected with Pattern Review and joined the Mini-Wardrobe contest.
I started out with lots of silk items, but the Tussah, Thai Silk was unyielding and the first piece did not turn out as I liked. I had to retreat and think.
I decided on denim and cotton knit.
My collection is called:Denim, Tee-shirts and Glitz
My inspiration piece is this short fitted jacket in denim
Living in a resort, where life is casual I still get tired of just plain tee shirts and shorts and flip-flops. But my feet have spread, and in summer any clothing is almost too much. As the weather cools I like to dress better, so I opted for these princess line v-neck tees The fabric is 100% knit, but it is sumptuous, has a lovely hand and wonderful luster.
Pants and shorts are always an issue for me I am an an hour-glass and short but not petite. I am over-the-top pleased with the way my cuffed denim shorts and mydenim crop pants turned out.
My six outfits are
1.denim jacket and cuffed shorts
2.denim jacket and crop pants
3.cream tee and crop pants
4.purple tee and crop pants
5.cream tee and cuffed shorts
6.purple tee and cuffed shorts
My guests were checking in when my Beloved was taking my photos, she said: " Wow! Everything coordinates!"
And so they do!
