Progress Report for prostheticsgirl
Contest: Costume Contest     Managed By: Sharonspils

Photo Pattern Used Points Items Made Yardage Used Description Last Updated
1 Simplicity:Adult Gorilla, Lion, Bear and (Costumes) 5 5.000 11.000 Little Bo Peep and her giant disgruntled sheep husband!

We'll be wearing this one next year when it's my turn to select the costumes. The dress and corset are a combination of Simplicity 3618 and 4046 with major adaptations. I made the underlayer as a dress with an elastic waist for ease of wear and to minimize bulk. I accented the sleeves with cute little matching pink bows! The corset piece is boned so that you can lace it snugly. I have a matching staff and hat too but didn't photograph them.

The sheep costume is fully lined in cotton 600 thread count sheets (old ones of course). That didn't seem to make hubby like it more though

2 Simplicity:Mermaid costume (Costumes) 1 1.000 7.500 It was hubby's year to pick the costume, and of all the ones I made (3 total) he chose this one! I couldn't convince him to be a merman though (nude shirt and the same tail) so he'll be wearing a yellow fisherman's suit and carrying a fishing pole. I'll be his catch of a lifetime :D 10/26/12 8:53 PM
  Total 6 6 18.5
