Photo Pattern Used Points Items Made Yardage Used Description Last Updated
1 No Pattern Used:ps008 Bow Tucks Tote (Accessories) 1 1.000 1.570 This bag has one outer pocket and pockets all the way around the inside. It is a very popular and attractive bag; the pockets can be used for anything as they are self-adjusted and it is up to the sewer to make as many as one wants to and as to what type; i.e for cell phones, pens, water bottle, small notepads, etc. It is a quilted bag; they look just fine if you want to skip this step though. I did quilt mine.

I used an Asian fabric, Pellon 987F Fusible Fleece for the inner lining, an appropriate colour choice (champagne) for the lining; and a self-covered button. The bag straps were bought and attached instead of using yardage to make them.

The tote bag pattern directions were a bit hard to follow the first time They are a little short in instruction, but but once you get the hang of it, it goes quickly and makes sense. The instructions do not mention sewing the bottom lining seam when you are finished. It is a good idea to do this. Be sure to read the pattern over several times and try to visualize what you will be doing; this helps a lot if you have never sewn a handbag or tote before.

If you make one, you want to make a bunch of them; they are that attractive and the fabric combination possibilities are endless. I have had many compliments on mine and they make great gifts as well. And yes, it looked just like the one on the cover of the pattern!

Highly recommended.
