What is this notion used for?
The mat is primarily used for anti-vibration but it serves to protect sewing table and keeps machine securely in its place. It does cut down on vibration especially at higher speeds. I think the Gigiet table is more prone to vibration than most so I was looking to reduce as much vibration produced by the machine as possible. But of course my little machine purrs now even more.

Did you get your money's worth after the purchase?
Yes, however I thought this product was over-priced. I am glad for its purchase as it fits perfectly on the deck of my Arrow Gidget I Table without any cutting to shape, measures 11''x20''. I am using it for my Bernina 240 and it's the perfect color! ;-D

Is this notion easily available?
I purchased the mat from Connecting Threads, however Quilting-Warehouse has a better price at $12.99 which I found after my purchase.
