What is this notion used for?
June Tailor Ruler Ring - a large steel/chrome ring which has an opening so that rulers can be hung by sliding the ring through a hole generally found on all rulers. Attached to the ring is a hook so it can be hung on a closet rod. The ends of the ring have rubber tips to protect the rulers as they are slid onto the ring and also prevent rulers from sliding off too easily. The rulers must have a hole along one end at least 1/4'' diameter to fit on the ring. I have several large acrylic quilter rulers and a few aluminum Fairgate Rulers that slide on and off the ring with relative ease.

Did you get your money's worth after the purchase?
Yes, I had a 50% off coupon at Joanns and paid $2.99 plus tax.

Is this notion easily available?
I have seen these around for nearly as long as I've been a quilter, almost 20 years.

Would you recommend it to others?
Yes Yes Yes... did I say YES? I have used many methods for storing my rulers over the years. I have a wooden ruler rack but it takes up valuable real estate on a table top in my office. When a number of large rulers started to get it the way at my cutting station. I had to decide on a new method for storing them, so I decided to give this Ruler Ring a try. It is simple, is strong, efficient, and doesn't cost a ton. I am considering getting a couple more for my small rulers and quilting hoops.

	Laughsew said... I tried to used one of those for my rulers, but discovered that not all rulers are created equal. Some had big enough openings to use this and others didn't. I ended up using a tiered file from an office supply store. 1/19/13 11:30 AM
