Did you get your money's worth after the purchase? Yes!
Is this notion easily available? Yes
Would you recommend it to others? I would HIGHLY recommend this iron to anyone. It's better than all the Rowentas I've owned and thrown away. It's pricey, which is why I kept buying other brands, but now that I've owned a Reliable, I know you get what you pay for in this area. The steam tank lasts forever, but it also NEVER, EVER spits, drips, leaks - at all. I wish I could have afforded the J490A for the removable water tank and the anti-calc feature, but for $100 less, I'm super happy with my purchase. Someday when I can buy the 490A for my sewing room, I'll move my J420 to the general laundry room and get rid of the junky iron in there once and for all :) Also, if you have any questions, the customer service via telephone at Reliable is super informed, helpful, and patient.

How long have you had it? Sounds like a nice iron. I am going to invest in a non steam iron and a steam iron.

I would like to know how long you have had it also? I love my rowenta 5030, but it started messing up about 3 months in, I took 2 of them back to Joannes and then just told them to keep it.

I have read more than a few reviews that state it lasts about a year. Everyone has loved it- at least until it gives up the ghost.

A year?! That's horrible for the price... I guess we'll see in 8 months or so. My Rowentas never lasted that long though. A few months max. Is there a decent iron at a decent price out there?!
