What is this notion used for?
Extra lighting under harp of sewing machine

Did you get your money's worth after the purchase?
No, not in my opinion. This is a very expensive kit.

Is this notion easily available?
Not really. I bought mine through ShoppersRule.com several months ago, after reading some raves about it on sewing forums.

Would you recommend it to others?
No, but others seem to love it. YMMV

There are six tiny LED bulbs (the size kit that I bought) that do a fantastic job of lighting up the area under the harp of my 1130.

I'm sorry to say that I am not very impressed with this light because I rarely, if ever, have anything under the *harp* that needs illuminating. I don't know why I thought it would give extra light around the presser foot. Duh. Don't get me wrong... it does, but not enough to meet my expectations.

I will continue to keep my Ott floor lamp next to the sewing table.

Oh well, you win some and you lose some. ;-)

	SandiMacD said... Very helpful, thanks so much. I got 2 bendable lights and not impressed with those either. Sticky velcro fell off in humid FL conditions. I was going to try the LED but now will spend it on a table lamp. Thanks. 3/4/13 6:35 AM

	raggmopp said... I agree--I purchased a small set of LED's that were mounted in place of the original SM light. They brought a "tiny bit" more light to the presser foot area. I'll stick with my Ott floor lamp too!! 3/9/13 10:21 AM
