I'm just using the Pattern Catalog, here on PR. I don't have a massive number of patterns. I had a basement flood which forced me to dump a lot of my quite old patterns, sadly. The one box that I still have, I'm slowly cataloging into the listing. I'm trying NOT to buy a lot more patterns than I will sew -- I'm a slow sewist.

I find the Catalog minimally useful, but I'd prefer to be able to upload a photo of the older patterns, since those aren't on the pattern company sites any more. Because of this drawback, I've been thinking about creating a spreadsheet with a column for image links on my laptop. But this isn't a priority for me right now, so I haven't done it or even looked to see whether Microsoft or another site already has a template.

Hi there Linda, I was asking this same question a couple of months ago. Like you, I was using the catalog section of this site, but it didn't provide all the info I wanted, and I couldn't use it offline on my Kindle while fabric shopping. One of our sewing sisters from PR suggested a free app called Evernote. I'm still learning how to use it. It's loaded on my laptop and my Kindle (which I take to the fabric stores). This app syncs between my laptop (where it's easier to enter info) and Kindle, and I can use it offline while out shopping. This may be something you be can use too. Good Luck. ;-)

I believe you can save a photo to your computer and upload it onto your pattern list.

If you have a IPhone there is a sewing app called Sewing Kit HD. It tracks your patterns (either using photo from website or your own), fabrics, projects and people

I have to give a thumbs up for Evernote also. It's easy to keep up with my patterns both at home and while I'm shopping since I have it loaded on my computer and on my iPhone. It's great to have with me so I can look up yardage and notions for something that may hit me then and there!
