Easy & Great for Beginners
Mens' pajama pants (view D) using size Med for my teenage son in cotton flannel.
I omitted the drawstring on these, since my son either pulls the drawstrings out or simply doesn't tie them on the two RTW pairs he has. I measured the elastic for the waistband in the most scientific manner possible:

Easy & Great for Beginners
REVIEW UPDATE:
Made another pj pant for DH. Also in seersucker.
Ignored the side pockets and added a big SIDE pocket for DH's ever-present radio ;).
WHAT I LEARNED:
1. This time I labeled my RF, LF and RB, LB pieces with masking tape.
