Textile Studio Sewing Pattern Basic Dress # 1405
|
This easy and elegant dress has no darts or zippers! With two sleeve options, long or sleeveless, this mid-calf length dress is semi-fitted with a boat neck and fitted shoulder. Makes a super summer shift! Approx. Sewing time 1 1/2 hours.
Suggested Fabric:For best results use a soft draping fabric.
View A: Fine knit either wool, rayon, or rayon/wool blends, rayon or wool crepe, textured rayon, rayon/silk cut velvet or velvet, rayon/silk sheers. View B: Same as View A, except not suitable for sheers. Linen may be used. Allow extra fabric for plaids or stripes, for shrinkage if pre-washing and for lengthening.

Easy & Great for Beginners
I have read several other reviews and comments on this dress pattern. I made one up for my 27 year old daughter to wear to a wedding in October that will be outside. The dress is the sleeves version. I am going to made her a cardigan to wear over it soon.
