For the back packs we suggest medium to heavyweight woven fabrics, cotton types, twill, wool, windbreaker fabric, corduroy or quilted fabrics.

VIEW A

Lined back pack has pocket with flap, flap with Velcro closure, drawstring through grommets at the top edge, and adjustable shoulder straps.

Material Required:

Fabric and lining 45" (115 cm) or 60" (152 cm) wide - each 3/8 yd (0.35 m).

Fusible interfacing 22" (56 cm) wide - 3/8 yd (0.35 m),  3/4 yd (0.70 m) of piping, 3 yd (2.75 m) of 1" (2.5 cm) wide webbing for straps, two 1" (2.5 cm) strap adjusters or four 1" (2.5 cm) D-rings, one 1" (2.5 cm) D-ring, 4" (10 cm) of 1" (2.5 cm) wide Velcro, eight grommets, cording for drawstring (optional).

Lined back pack with flaps and Velcro closures, drawstring through grommets at top edge, flap closure with buckle and adjustable shoulder straps.

Fabric and lining 45" (115 cm) or 60" (152 cm) wide - each 3/4 yd  (0.70 m).

Fusible interfacing 22" (56 cm) wide - 5/8 yd (0.60 m), 1 yd (0.95 m) of piping, 3 1/2 yd (3.20 m) of 1" (2.5 cm) wide webbing for straps, two 1" (2.5 cm) D-rings, two 1" (2.5 cm) strap adjusters or four 1" (2.5 cm) D-rings, 7" (20 cm) of 1" (2.5 cm) wide Velcro, one 1" (2.5 cm) buckle and three eyelets to match - if necessary, twelve grommets, cording for drawstring (optional).

VIEW C

Lined back pack has zipper pocket, leather trim and drawstring in casing through grommets at bottom corners for shoulder straps.

Material Required:

Fabric 45" (115 cm) or 60" (152 cm) wide - 7/8 yd (0.80 m).

Lining 45" (115 cm) wide - 5/8 yd (0.60 m) or  60" (152 cm) wide - 1/2 yd (0.50 m).

6" x 6" (15 cm x 15 cm) piece of leather or synthetic leather, one 12" (30 cm) zipper, four large grommets, 4 yd (3.60 m) of cording for straps (be sure cording fits through grommets).
