Difficult, but great for Advanced Sewers
I read all the previous reviews here and found them very helpful.
I wanted a tunic to wear over leggings and liked the soft lines of this tunic/dress. So I made a very abbreviated version of this tunic in a crinkly rayon with a lot of movement-but I will make it again in sari silk.

Difficult, but great for Advanced Sewers
Pattern Description:
They call it a dress. As the other reviewers pointed out, it really is a top. From Vogue: Very loose fitting. Elastic casings. Raw edges of ruffle fabric will show.

This really is a nice shirt, it's not hard to get a good fit, it's supposed to be loose-fitting, and the "devil is in the details", so to speak¯. There are tucks, ruffles, gathering, encased elastic, self ties, AND real sleeve plackets. The pattern is rated as "Average"¯, and I'd agree wi

Difficult, but great for Advanced Sewers
Pattern Description: Misses Dress: Very loose fitting, tucks under self ruffles from shoulders down, outside casings with elastic and self ties, front and back self faced hem bands, shaped side insets, covered buttons, neck binding and narrow cuffs. Raw edges of ruffles will show.

Would NOT Recommend
UPDATE:
I've put this away for now. I've wasted $120 worth of beautiful silk on this over-the-top difficult pattern. Maybe I'll pick it up in a month or so and try to salvage it, but the results I'm getting are not very professional-looking and scream "homemade".
