Yoshiko Jinzenji books open up a whole world of quilting, and is a highly regarded fiber artist.

Her techniques and the beauty of her work are outstanding. She shows examples of quilts that go far beyond the everyday into true artistry. I gasp when looking through this book time and again.

It is more like a table top book, as far as the way it is photographed,
She takes the reader through her process, and offers how to's also with clear steps by steps.

Her work is stunning and inspiring. This book does that in spades

I highly recommend this book as another way to look at modern quilts based on traditional techniques. She also has designed hammocks, rugs and other things with her quilts as well as pure art quilts.

She uses all different types of meterials for her traditonal quilts including bamboo dyed silk, Nylon, plyestr, rayon aluminum coated nylon, antique and found cloth.

I am by no means a quilter and I love this book for inspiration. The subtlety of the designs and stitching are simply beautiful. I also love the fabrics she designs.

I know Patti B. I am so taken by what she has done. I did not quilt at all when I bought the book. Its really not so much about quilting as it about making something beautiful.. She uses so many different types of fabric as well.
