KathleenS said... Your dress looks great and I love the colour! I gather from your comments that you're planning on wearing this without a bra but would you say that the back panel would be in the right place to cover a strapless bra - it looks it? I know the needing a quick and easy project feeling :) I'd better get back to my lining and interlining now :( 6/12/03 7:10 AM
els said... Well done ,like joan said you are not a beginner anymore. 6/12/03 7:13 AM
jlg said... Kathleen, a strapless bra would be possible. Since there are 3 layers of fabric in the bodice, see-through is not a problem with this darkish fabric, and I'm skipping it. One of the only advantages of being in the itty-bitty club.
By the way, I was quite tired last night when I finished the dress and wrote the review. The fabric is silk crepe from fashion fabrics club, and the lining was peach silk habotai from equilter. I think that they worked well with this pattern.
Also, thanks for the positive comments. 6/12/03 8:33 AM

I'm just finishing up a dress for a client, after completing a wedding veil and a jacket, also for clients. Neither was easy, and they were only marginally fun. I can't wait to sew again for ME! -Ann 6/12/03 1:52 PM
