Nice pattern, fabric, and dress! I think diagonally-patterned fabrics are interesting and wish there were lots more patterns for them. Another alternative to facings would be to use bindings... you've probably thought of that too.

Did you find the pattern was true to size? How much stretch did your knit have?

My fabric was a polyester slinky, so it had a LOT of stretch, like 100%. I found the pattern to be true to size.

My knit has about 35% crosswise stretch - do you think I should go up a size, or do you think this isn't the pattern for me?

The "pick-a-knit rule" on the envelope calls for 50% (4 inches stretching to 6 inches), so 35% stretch isn't enough.
