Gorgeous blouse. Much nicer than the Burda version. Makes me want to try drafting my own stuff.

Pretty blouse.

I love the design of this, particularly the way the pleats are done. Beautiful embroidery.

That is beautiful! The tone-on-tone embroidery adds a lot of interest without distracting from the great design of the top. (If you could add a quick overview on how you drafted it, I think it would be very interesting to read.) This top would be lovely with a long flowing skirt, but it would also be smashing with a dark pair of jeans.

I am truly blown away by this. The embroidery is so beautiful. Well done! I'd be interested in knowing more about how you drafted it and what embroidery pattern you used.

Thanks for adding all the info on how you drafted this absolutely stunning and exqusite blouse! Your instructions are very clear. The embroidery really turns this top into a work of art.

This is truly beautiful. I love how the pleats spread upward out of the embroidered medallion focal point. Congratulations on a gorgeous creation.

What a perfect marriage of design and fabric to showcase your embroidery. I think you absolutely accomplished what you wanted to. It's perfect.

Absolutely beautiful. Very well thought out design to showcare the embroidery. To me it looks timeless - ie looks retro, but also looks like a piece that one would buy today at a very TOL designer boutique if one could afford it.

OMG, this is breathtaking. You managed to make a blouse with definite 40-s flair, but oh-so-current. Would love to hear the comments you get when you wear this beautiful piece. Stunning.

Oh, MY! This is just GORGEOUS. I love the embroidery, yes, but equally so, the way the tucks draw the eye to the center medallion while also forming the drape across the shoulders. Perfection!

Beautiful blouse! Today's machines are incredible but you still need an operator with vision, and yours was timeless for this blouse. It looks very "dinner and a movie in Soho" to me. I'm sure you'll get lots of compliments when you wear it! Thanks for sharing a wonderful project. Sue

Thank you so much for sharing the self drafting process, together with your design goals. That was so enjoyable, and perfectly illustrates the purpose of your choices. Needless to say, your completed blouse is Perfection itself. Each design choice you made fulfilled itself exponentially. It's truly exquisite, Lily

I've come back to admire the delicate beauty of this blouse many times. I've always been drawn to the style of the 1940s as you are, and this captures the vibe so well. Congratulations on your gorgeous creation and first review!

Thank you for adding that information. It was like a mini-draping lesson. You make it sound approachable!

What talent you have. You should definitely continue your own designs. The fitted style of the 20's and 30's with all the pleating and detail are my favs. Thanks so much for sharing from concept through construction.

You mention in your profile that you're thinking of starting a pattern line. I think this would be a smashing style to offer. I had a hard time wrapping my head around your drafting process but who can argue with results?!
