Butch looks very happy on his bed! He's lucky to have you in his family. I've been thinking about making this for my 2 girls (greyhounds and VERY picking about their beds)--It is good to know your experience.

That looks like a cool bed. If you had difficulties with the project it sure does not show on the end product. I have beeing toying with the idea of making beds for my big girls, Colby and Kaluha (2 100 lbs Rotties). Now I know that this bed will be big enough for them. Thanks for the review

That looks great! And excellent review. Those stitches along the seamline were probably stay-stitches, to keep things from getting out of shape before you sewed them together. Butch looks like he appreciates it.

Love your bed for Butch, and hearing of your ups and downs making it! You can buy beds inexpensively, but there are reasons to sew for a dog: 1. You want to make a special gift for a dog lover. 2. You want a special fabric or style for your own dog. 3. Your dog is too big, or small, for the store bought ones. 4. You want to practice sewing fleece (or some other fabric), zippers, welt buttonholes, cording, applique, embroidery, etc, and your dog won't care HOW bad it turns out! This is how I justify sewing for my dog and I've learned a lot doing it.

Great job! I'm looking for some good patterns for my dog Wusong. After reading your review and seeing the pictures, I think I'll get this one tomorrow!

You made a great dog bed. What a good idea to practice learning to sew on such a practical project.
