wiht tiered skirt with cream silk pants and scarf Pattern Description:
Dolman-raglan type long sleeve high neck twist top with CF slit Pattern Sizing: 34-42 I sewed a 38 my usual and took in the underarm curve of the dolman sleeve one half inch and it is still a little baggy. Mind you I like my sleeves fitted. I scooped out front neckline one half inch tapering to shoulders as neckline twist seemed really high up. Still a little high for me. Fabric Used:
Fine lightweight rayon-lycra jersey. Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Pretty much. Of course slit not so low! Were the instructions easy to follow? I am really thankful for previous reviewers to clarify complex to me at least twist. This is why I classified pattern as difficult but hopefully these steps will help you. Here are steps I used:
1. Attach the front yoke/sleeve half to back sleeve half (the shoulder becomes sleeve seam)
2. Give the unattached half of front yoke a full twist (so that the sleeve portion matches up just like it did before you twisted)
3. Sew up the center front seam (of lower front) to the bottom of where you will like the slit to be. If no slit, sew up to about 2 inches from the edge. I left 2 inches of slit.
4. Attach the lower front to the yoke/upper front (raglan-like seam), stopping just before the twist.
5. Tuck the twist into the gap in the front center seam, and continue sewing it to the top of the piece. There will be unsewn seams all around the twist. I need to tack the front inside piece so it will not creep out with wearing.
6. Sew up the side and bottom of the sleeve. And hem. What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? Really like this unique other formof twist detail. You need to make it in fairly thin fabric or it will be too bulky. Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes I will make again short sleeves?, lower neck?

Looks great, I remember trying this a few years ago and getting completely stuck on the twist but after seeing your version I might have to have another go.
