| line drawing with coppery shell with jacket and gold knit top with cozy cardigan side showing buckles with rayon ruched wrap top review for wrap top top Click Here with cream slinky tunic with grey cowl Pattern Description: Jeans style A line skirt with front fly zipper, back yoke, large V shape back belt carrier, little side tabs with vest buckles, back vent pleat, front darts, 2 back welt pockets which I omitted. Pattern photo modeled looked quite short but I only needed to add 2 inches. Double topstitching details. Pattern Sizing: Patrones sizing 38 42 46. Now I take a 38 Burda fashion which relates to a 40 Patrones with waist and hip measurements a couple of centimeters smaller. So I traced in between the 38 and 42 veering more to the 42 along hip area. Fabric Used: Linen cotton blend on sale from Joann. Love the burnt orange colour. I was collecting orange toned fabrics a couple of years ago. I used this for yoke in tiered skirt showing yoke
And have enough for trouser jeans. Cut out but may not get to it for competition. Great wash' n wear linen. Of course it wrinkles very easily ! Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? I was very pleased it fit very well just like pattern photo how I traced and took in waist just a tad. It looks pretty low slung in photo, maybe that is why waist is bigger than Patrones 40 waist measurements. Were the instructions easy to follow?
Hmmm..... all in Spanish. I LOVE Patrones and have several copies so what I do is I use a Spanish-English Franklin Merriam Websters Dictionary electronic translator. Much more accurate than Babel Fish. I have over the years learnt many Spanish sewing terms, have written a "dictionary" and can almost "read " Patrones instructions knowing what it means without having to translate in my head back to English. They are sparse but this was a very simple skirt
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I love the fit, back yoke and carrier detail, little side buckles flat showing buckles, back vent and back belt carrier Patrones has great designer styles. This was a Jocavi skirt. I know Patrones is expensive, check Stoffmart web store. But it's a fun magazine to sew from and the draft, fit and cut is usually excellent.
