Very nice! I just made a cover for my Sony ereader, which was also a Xmas pressie. I absolutely agree, the prices for ereader covers are crazy. I made my cover from scraps!

Your case is darling, simple, and functional. Thanks so much for the link. The information there is exhaustive, yet with the right measurements and that chipboard,, it does look like an easy project. I designed my own carrying case, just for the times when I want to wear the kindle around my neck when I'm puttering -- a good time to listen to an audible book. I got some ideas from your review, in case I ever make another one.

AnitaJJ, I used the "cardboard" from inside an old binder. Some binders have a kind of pressed wood, this one contained very hard pressed paper. You just need something that won't bend at all.
