thanks for such an excellent review! Was just wondering if you think it would be easy to make that top without the gathers? I'm trying to work out how easy the pattern would be to alter...

@Alanaelizabeth... I tend to prefer the gathers due to my body shape, but I think if I wanted to make it without gathers I'd just use a plain t pattern - I'm too lazy to work it out when the answer is to select another pattern. Perhaps there's one out there where the arm openings match?
