Great review and I love the fabric you choose!

This dress is wonderful! It seems that more and more of these V1220 patterns are showing up in the gallery to great acclaim--and yours was the 1st! You started a great trend.

Loooove it! Black/white silver - my favorite combo too. And in my size! Do you accept credit card payments? ;) I thought I'd already added you to my favs... must do that now...

Lovely dress and fabric. It looks great on you with both self tie and optional belt.

Looks great both with the sash and the belt. Really looks very different with the contrast belt.

great review! Very good to know that it'll need reworking not to show the wrong side of the fabric, and all the detailed info about construction is very useful. The dress itself is very pretty!

I came from the Tim Gunn Sew Along page. Stunning, loti. This is one of the prettiest shirt-dresses I have ever seen.

Fab dress!! And your shoes with the self belted version are perfect. I want to make this from something in my stash that isn't stretch. If I allow a bit more ease do you think I could make this with a cotton/linen woven fabric?

Great job! This dress is my favorite from the latest round of new patterns from Vogue. I'm about to make this dress in a blue shirting so I'm thrilled to see your review now. Just love your fabric and all of the tips in your review.

Thank you for the informative review. I love you version, looks comfy and cool for the warm (lets hope) summer ahead! I am making a muslin now .. have to shorten the waist-shoulder length. And will hopefully cut in a day or so. I have not paid any attention to the wrong side of the fabric issues, and you have brought those to light.

Wow. I'm impressed. When I originally saw the pattern I wasn't that interested, but now I see I almost missed the boat. It looks great on you. Thanks for the info about fabric selection.

It looks better on, than on the dress form but the camera battery was fading. I'll try and post better pics tomorrow.

Wow. The fabric may be stash fabric, but this pattern is fresh off the presses. I was just looking at the Vogue magazine and wondering what it would look like made up by a PR seamstress. Thanks for sewing it! I would love to see it on you. May have to get this one.
