How annoying to find the sizing off...I expect with children to just sew from the pattern with no fitting issues. Interesting that it ran small as I have found the Simplicity kids patterns to run large. Maybe there is no consistency which is even worse! Regardless, your dress looks lovely and the contrast ribbon really sets it off.
