Thanks for the nice comments!! XD Q Valley - when I was sewing this I realized it had a nice look, like faux leather. I was really pleased because I thought it would look like sewn cereal box lol. It looks wonderful on me, but if you looked at it lying on a table you'd know it's gift bags because it's thin, and it's so stiff it can't lay flat.

Gift bags surely count as unconventional. Not sure how this corset would look "in person," but the photo is gorgeous and gives no indication what that lovely purple material used to be.
