|Edited June 2013 for the Fabric Stash contest.|
Old pattern for children's shorts, T-shirt, dress, and hats. All I have are the two pieces for the shorts.
I made the shorts in size two.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Were the instructions easy to follow?
They weren't available, but there was no problem assembling the garment. I inserted the waistline elastic in a casing made by turning down the raw edge of the fabric along the top of the back and front pieces. I double-stitched the curve of the crotch to reinforce it.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
It's a good basic pattern for children's shorts, and the only one I have in size two.
Originally made in a bright, small-scale cotton print for the Sprint Towards the Holidays Challenge. The June 2013 entry in Fabric stash contest is made using a red, white and blue cotton print on a black background.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I will definitely sew it again; I've already used it several times.
It's no longer available, so for that reason I wouldn't generally recommend it to others.
It's a good pattern but may be hard to find. No doubt there are many other patterns for children's shorts that are just as good. If you really want it, try doing a Google search. Maybe you'll be lucky.
