February 10, 2015 Update:
A Jalie top extended to dress length! A definite win! I used a FunkiFabrics sports lycra knit. This is the ultimate pack and go dress for my vacation in March! There are more photos on my blog.

January 12, 2015 Update:
I made a light gray knit top in my typical Jalie size R. I added some two-thread flatlocking stitches to the shoulder area (the black lines) for decorative purposes. I used a floral rib knit binding for the neck and I added cuffs from the same material.

I love this top!

Pattern Description:
This is a review for a very modified Jalie 2805. I used this pattern to make the CAbi Ballet Arm Warmers. The arm warmers are supposed to be worn under shirts and dresses to keep you nice and toasty warm.

I used size R. I would normally make this t-shirt in a size S but I wanted the sleeves to be snug so they would easily fit under shirts and dresses. They are like Dickeys for your arms!! I used the Jalie pieces to draft my own pattern. I wanted to share with you guys so you can make your own too!

-- I traced out the three pieces (bodice front, bodice back, and sleeves).
-- I lined the pieces up by looking at the shoulder intersection.
-- I drew a line, hmmmmmmmm, this is hard to explain and hard to link photos here. I'll add some photos here but you can see the whole thing on my blog here.

Finished arm warmers, finished pattern piece, and how I got there. Here they are in brown, and in black.

Great idea for the arm warmers--perfect for me since when I'm cold, it's right there across my upper back and shoulders! Thanks for sharing!

The flatlocking is a great touch--I thought it was piping!

Lovely review! Another proof of how this pattern lends itself to modification. I modified mine (successfully) to a jacket. Really a Jalie winner!

I actually have the Cabi pair in black. I didn't think I'd wear them much, but I was wrong; I love mine. You're genius for figuring out the pattern, thank so much for sharing!
