Pattern Description: Close fitting. separates. Raw edges of
fabric will show on front and back seams of both garments
Pattern Sizing: 4-16, I made a 10, as people who had made it previously suggested making a size small than your usual
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes it did eventually Although during the construction it was anybodies guess as to how it would look in the end.
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes and no is my honest answer, there were many occasion where I sat staring at the instructions open mouthed in complete desperation. In the end it all worked so the instructions couldn't have been that bad!
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? The pattern was a complete new experience for me, I do quite like the element of the unknown and the end result that follows. The seams on the outside and inside were quite an experience, careful cutting out is called for as most of the raw edges are on the outside.
Fabric Used: The pattern called for a spandex type lycra, which is what I used, it is fairly thin as I was concious that the layers of gathers would become bulky if I used a thicker jersey.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I didn't make any design changes on these garments, you can't change what you don't understand!
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Unlike many before me I would sew it again, I think it is a lovely design and it would be much easier second time around knowing that to expect.
Conclusion: Always remember that the pattern uses the right side of the fabric, it relies heavily on squares, small and large dots, be careful to make sure all are transferred. I referred back to my pattern pieces many times to ensure I hadn't missed anything. I also took a picture of the material pieces and wrote on what was an armhole, neck edge, centre back and front etc.

Thank you, I think only people who have tried it can really appreciate what goes into making it.
