| Pattern Description:
This is an online pattern/tutorial for a child's tool belt. It is sized for an 18-month old. Pattern Sizing:
The tutorial states that it's sized for an 18-month old. I added an inch to the width of the toolbelt, as I was making this for a 2.5-year old. Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes! Were the instructions easy to follow?
Very easy to follow. I printed it out to follow along as I was sewing it up. What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
It's free, it's very simple, and it was quick. Plus, it was sturdy. And, it uses a small amount of fabric, so it works great for fabric you already have stashed away. Fabric Used:
Quilting cotton/cotton print. Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I made the tool belt 12 inches wide instead of the 11 inches that are used, as I was making this for a slightly larger child. I also added some iron-on interfacing to strengthen the fabric (I added it to each of the rectangles of fabric at the beginning.) Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes, definitely! Conclusion:
My nephew loved the tool belt. We gave it to him for Christmas along with a recycled plastic tool set, and it was a big hit!
