The pattern is described as a children's playhouse to cover standard card table. Has both house and castle versions.
About the only part of the design that is like the pattern is the house roof and I left the scallops off the sides. I changed the shape of the windows and doors, left off the patterns appliques and divided the pattern so that one end of it looks a bit like her house, complete with her cat, Skeeter. The other end looks like grandma and grandpa's log house. The log end has channel quilted logs and a big tree, Steller's Jay and bunny that might be near the house in the mountains. Log Cabin end
The instructions are easy to follow. By the time all the walls are together and you get to inserting the roof, there is a lot of fabric flopping around, but the sewing isn't difficult.
All the fabrics used came from my stash, except the netting used in the doors and windows. The brown for the logs may be a mystery poly/rayon blend. The rest are quilting weight cottons.
This is another pattern that will stay in the stash, but she probably won't need another one.
This was a fun project. I would have added a few more animals and details, but I ran out of time.

Cute! My sisters and I had something like this as children and it was so much fun! Love the way you personalized it.

I think you're playhouse is more magical and practical than ANY of the other entries. I'm sorry I saw the contest too late to vote! Can I post your house to Pinterest and MAY I ? (Not sure really how anyway.)
