Pattern Description: A sheath dress pattern with princess seams and neckline and sleeve variations.
Pattern Sizing: Amazing Fit pattern allows for customization based on bust and hip size.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Not really since I made a top, not a dress
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes, the parts that I used.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I hate the excessive ease that is included with the pattern. However, the pattern goes together very well, all the notches match up, etc.
Fabric Used: Eileen Fisher ponte knit from Sawyer Brook.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I used the bodice pieces and drafted a half circle peplum instead of using the skirt pattern pieces. I also fully lined the top.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Definitely, this is a great basic princess seam bodice.
Conclusion: I love my little top and plan to make at least one or two more like it. Visit my blog, Susie Homemaker, MD, to see more photos and details of the construction process.
