| Pattern Description: Fitted A-line dress with wide bateau neckline. I made the longer version, B.
Pattern Sizing: petite 17-21. I dont remember which size I made. I started this dress a year ago.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Sort of!
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I really loved the wide neckline of this dress (which was not so wide by the time I finished with it!!!) and the shape. The side panels make it interesting. neckline
Fabric Used: I love this fabric. I am sorry that I didn't buy more. It is cotton sateen purchased at spotlight a few years ago on sale. I paid around $3.60 per metre. It is great to sew, and I love the dots!
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I am not petite! I added and inch or 2 to the bodice length. As you will see in the pics, my neckline has what I will call a "design feature". Yep! I mucked up!!!! I made a muslin and it all seemed to fit well, so i went ahead and started the real thing. When I tried it on, the neckline gaped terribly! The only solution was to pleat it like this. I actually quite like it, but it was an unintentional design feature! i also didn't have enough fabric, so I had to squeeze it out of 2 metres and didn't have enough fabric to match my dots. They aren't too bad, but could have been better with 1/2 metre more. back
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes, I would. It is a nice fit and comfortable to wear.
Conclusion: When I started this dress last summer and got a bit fed up with some issues, so left it for a year. When I had a wedding to go to, I decided to pull it out and finish it. I am really happy with how it turned out!

Soooooooo cute!!!!! Love this, the dots are so fabulous! I thought the pleat at center front was a design feature. I so admire that you pulled this out and completed it after a year. Fabulous dress!

I LOVE your fabric and the black belt is a perfect touch. I also think the pleat is a great design feature!

Nice save! I found the neckline on this to gape horribly as well. The pleat is a good "design feature."

Beautiful dress! I went to the pics first and thought the neck pleats were part of the pattern. Would never have known if you hadn't spilled the beans, and I love them! LOL!!
