Pattern Description: Classic toddler dress with a basic bodice and dirndl skirt. My Sewing for Toddlers book was my mother's when she was sewing for me. So it is the early 1970s version.
Pattern Sizing: 1-4T
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Other than my changes, yes.
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I love how it is an easy dress and also how it is so easy to embellish or modify to get different looks.
Fabric Used: Minky and a polyester lining
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I made a couple design changes. I moved the button closure to the front, lengthened the skirt, and did not use button holes. Instead, I used elastic thread to create button loops at the front seam.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? I have many times and will again.
Conclusion: This dress is a great basic for toddlers and a great project if you are just learning to sew. For more pictures and information, come visit my blog Without Directions
