Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yeah, it did! I'm proud of all the time I took fitting it!
Were the instructions easy to follow?
I thought I'd add a skirt lining. It wasn't easy and I blundered through it lol. And I didn't really like their lining instructions anyway.. more on that on my blog.
Also it's a bit vague sometimes.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I like the pretty gathers... I didn't like the instructions much, lol. For a beginner they aren't so hot... let's just say I unpicked a lot of hand stitching at the waistline once I figured out not trimming the seams made them bulky. It would have been nice to have been told, lol! This project was frustrating since I made so many mistakes!
Also I don't understand why they wouldn't include a lining for the skirt- come on Vogue, I thought you were the classy pattern company! lol
Fabric Used:
Linen AKA wrinkle-town. But I love it anyway.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I did a bunch of fitting stuff- a lot of length out of the bodice..
I took in the CB at the waist to follow the curve of my back.
I added neck darts.
I ended up redrawing the armholes and doing a sloping shouder adjustment too. (Again, more on my blog, with photos)
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I would like to sew it again since it would be so much easier next time! No fitting, and hopefully I'll be wiser so less mistakes! I envision it in a floral cotton sateen
Conclusion:
Very pretty pattern, fraught with the usual pattern company malarky- poor fit (okay, can't blame them too much for that- everyone's different), poor instructions (definitely blame them for that! lol).
There are more photos and information on my blog here.
Ooh and thanks to the PR folk for helping me fit it too!

I like how you raised the waistline. Very cute and more comfortable I imagine.

Looks very cute. Good job!

Thank you! This dress actually has a sloped waistline- it's designed to be higher at centre front, and curves down to sit at the waistline at centre back. It's a nice detail!

Great job. Seems to be worth the fitting issues.
