This is my first project for 2013. I made 3 dress to enter in the One Pattern Many Looks contest and I feel really happy I accomplished this. It usually takes me weeks to get a project done. I love how this contest has made me accountable. Thanks PR.
Fabric: Floral Black&White (Approx 2.5yr) Multicolor Red with black Blue Burnout Cotton
Pattern: Simplicity 1755
Notion: zipper & hook n eye
Year: 2012
Time to complete: 1 week (Life is busy)
First worn: Just for fitting so far
Wear again? Believe I would - will update
I love this dress, it makes me want to take a vacation and the 50's feel is awesome.
Sewing the Design
The instructions were very good, simplicity are very user friendly. This pattern seems complicated but it's really easy and now I have one under my belt, dress two will be easy going. I did have to alter from a 5/8 seam to 3/8, must have gain some holiday pounds. Other than that it was fairly easy to put together and complete.
