| Pattern Description:
Misses' close-fittting, pullover straight dress, has neckline, sleeve and length variations with optional side slits.
I made dress D, with scoop neckline, above elbow sleeves and side slits.
Pattern Sizing:
(6-8-10); (12-14-16); (18-20-22)
I used:
size 14 for bodice and sleeves;
size 12 for waist;
size 16 for hips.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Yes.
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I like the simplicity of the dress and how fast and easy it was to put all the pieces together.
Fabric Used:
Cotton Interlock.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I usually sew size 12, but with this pattern, I sewed the sleeves and bodice in size 14.
I graded down to 12 for the waist and graded up to 16 for the hips.
I made changes for a more A-line dress.
I added self slim ties to the side seams. They are long enough to go completely around the waist.
I made the dress 5 1/2" shorter.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes, I might sew it again and try out the other neckline variations.
I would recommend this pattern to others, since it was very easy and fast to construct.
Conclusion:
Simple project with nice results.
There are many options of neckline, sleeves and dress length in the pattern so that different looks can be made.
