| Pattern Description: an envelope back pillow
Pattern Sizing:sized to need
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?Yep, it looked like the instructions on the website
Were the instructions easy to follow?very simple, easy for beginners to follow
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? The pattern itself, no major complaints. There are instructions for finishing the edges of the pillow body, but it's simple to do do so.
Fabric Used:linen for the main body, and wool for the applique
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:This is where it gets interesting. This was done for the inspired by pinterest contest. I saw this pillow on pinterest and decided to try for it. The pillow is made by Dwell Studio so I knew exactly how it is made. It's wool applique over linen. While I didn't have to match it exactly, I really liked it and decided to duplicate it. I printed out a picture of the applique, cut it out-did I mention there are over 50 openings in this pattern. I felted wool-I wanted to be able to wash it. I put wonder under on a piece of the wool, traced the applique and cut it out-again. I stitched the applique pattern on a piece of linen and made the envelope style pillow.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? The basic envelope pillow-sure easy and effective. The applique is a lot of work, but it looks really good. Depending on the color of the wool and linen it could have very different looks. I think I would sew it again.
Conclusion: A really unique look for a pillow, that basically requires some time to make. There is a fair amount of effort involved. But the applique makes a truly unique look. I would probably make a bigger pillow-I made a 16inch. I really like the way this turned out and will probably make a twin to it. It was fun to try this contest, especially since I decided beforehand to not enter this contest.

I love the labyrinth design you have used. I can only imagine how difficult it was cutting out all of those intricate shapes, so many curves! You did a great job.
