I love that dress and this color is so wonderful on you! I have the AC book and I really want to try one of their patterns. Thanks for the inspiration.

This dress is stunning on you! I have poured over those AC books in the bookstore, wondering if I would ever have enough gumption to actually use it. Thanks for the review, definitely inspiring.

Larger, curvier gals, don't be afraid of this dress. I have made two of them in a large. I am a very curvy size 14 RTW, 160 pounds, 5'5", with a mommy tummy. I thought I would feel self-conscious in something so fitted, but I love both of mine and have 2 more in progress. I do recommend using a double layer of fabric so it kind of holds everything in, and a darker color disguises the lumps better. Thrilled to see someone else as obsessed with Alabama Chanin as I am.

Oh, I'm obsessed now, too, amd I'm thinking of doing a Mardi Gras dress with this pattern. I was worried about whether beading it some would pull the neckline down - thanks for your tip on how low it is. Luckily Mardi Gras beads cover that area up completely. Your dress is gorgeous - off to read more of your blog....
