Simple rod curtains tied back with grograin ribbons
Cotton gauze that has been maturing for almost nine (yes 9!) years in my stash!
I am a bit ashamed to write a review of something so simple as rod curtains, but rules are rules. Our screened porch has a south-facing wall that allows the summer sun to beat in without mercy from noon to 4 pm.
I used 6 yards of very sheer cotton gauze to construct some curtains that can be closed during that part of the day and tied back the rest of the time. Air flow is hardly impeded when they are drawn, allowing any breeze to continue to come through. Towel hooks and grograin ribbon work as tie backs.
The pictures are hard to see as the breeze was blowing and so they are tied back to keep them from flapping all over the place.
