Pattern Description: This is super simple pants pattern with faced waist and side zip.
Pattern Sizing:Single size only at StyleArc. I ordered size 12 based on my hips and added room for my waist measurement. Fits perfect.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes.
Were the instructions easy to follow?Wow, super simple. Took about 2 hours start to finish.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? For some reason, StyleArc pants fit me better than other pattern companies. I would love pockets on these, but the streamlined look is better.
Fabric Used: This a fabric stash reduction project and this item is a wearable muslin out of nylon microfiber for a more expensive wool crepe item planned later. For some reason I no longer remember, I bought a bunch of yardage of nylon microfiber fabrics from Joann about 10 years ago. I'm using these in my June/July fabric stash reduction project to make some wearable muslins for other planned items out of wool. The microfiber fabric is particularly hard to press to get the seams lie flat. I did find one solution--seam press and apply a metal ruler to seam to act as a heat-sink to cool the fabric quickly . This seals the press. The good news is that is doesn't wrinkle once pressed . I used a Microtex needle (very important, this is a tough fabric and will pucker) and poly thread.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I omitted the back darts (over 50 flat-butt syndrome).
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes. Going ahead with the wool crepe.
Conclusion: A great-fitting pants pattern, simple and easy to sew.
