Short sleeve t-shirt with two-fabric bodice split horizontally. Neckline is gathered with elastic.
128-170 cm. I made a size 134 height, 128 width.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Were the instructions easy to follow?
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
The pattern actually didn't appeal to me in the magazine because it looked kind of short. However, the pattern shares pattern pieces with a tunic I made, so I thought I might as well trace off the two extra pieces and try it anyway.
I lengthened the top an inch or two (except I forgot on my second version), which brought it to the length I wanted. I really like peasant style neckline and the possibility of using up those 1/4 yard knit scraps.
For one version, I put the pattern pieces together to make a solid fabric top.
Version #1: a floral rib knit.
Version #2: super thin & cheap jersey scraps from Hobby Lobby.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
Lengthened the top.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I ended up losing the sleeve piece for this (how does that happen?), or I would have immediately cut out numerous shirts from my fabric stash. I may still do so after tracing a new sleeve!
I like the look and fit of the shirt and it will be an excellent knit stash buster.
