Misses'/Misses' Petite Camisole and Pants
Loose-fitting pants have drawstring waist, length variations and stitched hems.
Available in two size groupings: XS/S/M and L/XL.
I sewed a straight XL.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Were the instructions easy to follow?
Yes, for the pants.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I have sewn these loungewear pants before to wear as PJ bottoms. They are my favorite pj bottoms.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I changed the hem technique. I serged the bottom edge and folded up 1/2 inch. Then I topstitched near the turn of the hem and at the top edge of the hemline. This formed 2 parallel lines of stitching. This method helps the hem lay flat and not turn up even after washing.
I also changed the drawstring-only waistline treatment and added sports elastic with a drawstring riding through one of the channels formed by the stitching into one of the elastic channels.
I used purchased bias tape which I zigzagged through.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes and yes.
I am trying to arrive at a TNT pj bottom pattern. It's a little troubling to me that I have sewn this much (almsot 200 reviews) but still do not have a TNT pattern I can cut out of oak tag and turn to when I need a particular garment. This pattern seems like a good place to develop a TNT for pajama bottoms.
