|Pattern Description: |
This pattern is a simple PDF format with directions. There is no actual pattern, but measurements for cutting the fabric to the correct size.
Standard size pillowcase.
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?
Were the instructions easy to follow?
The instructions were very easy, with simple diagrams.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I liked that it was in PDF format, easy to read, not a lot of scrolling through the pages to follow directions.
I used cotton for the whole pillowcase. The main fabric was from an estate sale I picked up last summer. As soon as I felt it, I knew it would make great pillowcases. The floral blue floral fabric was from Walmart.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I didn't have very much of the blue fabric, so attached the ruffle to one side only.
Next time I will make the pillowcase body about four inches shorter though...it's long for my standard pillow.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
I will definitely sew this again, as I never have enough pillowcases. The allpeoplequilt.com site has 30+ patterns, so there are plenty to choose from.
Allpeoplequilt.com has so many free pillowcase patterns, there is sure to be one for just about anyone. Their main purpose for offering them is to encourage sewers to donate the completed pillowcases to charity. There is a list of charities also. The site is easy to navigate and so are the directions for pillowcase construction.
