|Pattern Description: Women's one-pattern-piece skirt|
Pattern Sizing: 1X - 4X
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? yes
Were the instructions easy to follow? Didn't use them. How hard can it be -- sew up side seams, Turn up hem and stitch, Turn down casing, insert elastic, stitch -- you're done. I lined the linen skirt because it was very lightweight by cutting an identical skirt from lining fabric, stitching side seams, placing skirt and lining right sides together and sewing along bottom, turning, pressing up 1/2 inch of skirt side and shortening lining to match at top, then proceding with casing. It took about 10 minutes to add the lining.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? It is very quick and easy, even when adding a lining. It also had a bit more shape than a straight skirt -- a slight Aline.
Fabric Used: I used a patchwork fabric made up of small squares of cotton plain fabrics sewn together for the
polyester print skirt
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: Lined linen skirt.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes. I have used this pattern before. I would recommend it. Very good pattern for beginners.
Conclusion: Quick skirt -- Took me about 15 minutes to sew, not counting pressing time. Only one piece for front and back.
