|Pattern Description: This pattern is for a blouse with 2 different sleeve lengths and a sleeveless option and 2 neckline options. It has markings for trim and options for tucks.|
Pattern Sizing: A (8-18)
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes. I altered the eyelet one so it is a bit different but has the same shape.
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I like the shape that this pattern has. I made the plaid a bit big, for work, and it still looks good. I don't like their interfacing instuctions because it makes the front facing too thick for its width so I left it out and trimmed my seams carefully.
Fabric Used: I used cotton eyelet with an ivory cotton print for the yoke and front facing. The plaid one is cotton with a glitter finish.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: On the eyelet I did a cut and slash to change the side dart into gathers along the yoke. I added entredeux between the facing and the front. I was going to put it between the yoke and the front but forgot.
On the plaid I cut the yoke on the diagnal and added one extra button for 'Floor work' with students at work.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes. I have sewn this one a couple of times and it looks good each time.
Conclusion: My plaid looks bad in the photos because I didn't starch it and re press before taking the photos. I'm wondering if it will get that wrinkly at work.
The eyelet I love and will wear it lots. I used some shell buttons I found in a sewing kit I bought at a garage sale.
