Pattern Description: This is a Lifestyle Wardrobe pattern with a dress, skirt pants, top, vest, and jacket.
Pattern Sizing: 20,22,24
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Not really because of my alterations. I altered the jacket pattern into a tunic pattern.
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes. The whole pattern is easy to make and would make a good pattern for new sewers to try.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? I like all of the options on the pattern. It is simple and to add structure or ruffles or trim is really easy.
Fabric Used: Cotton print.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: I used the jacket pattern and cut the center front on the fold. I shortened the sleeves to 3/4 length with out a cuff and I put a slit front with a 'v' shaped facing for detail. I redrew the collar to make it bigger and give it a long point to add to my facing detail. collar and facing Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes. My sister loves it! I felt it was shapeless but on her it looks great and is perfect for work.
Conclusion: My sister ordered it with a bigger back next time; she wants it loose across the high back. I wont make it for me because it just hangs from my shoulders and is shapeless. The photo is of my other sister wearing it before it was hemmed and the sleeves were finished, she was excited about being a model. The sister it is made for is a bit larger.
