|Pattern Description: Loose-fitting shirt has collar band, mock front bands, shaped hemline and narrow hem. A and B: bias front and back|
Pattern Sizing:16 - 24
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it?Yes
Were the instructions easy to follow?Yes
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? Its a fashionable, nice top with a lot of coverage. (without looking dowdy) I can wear it to work and be cool during the summer without looking unprofessional. It was fast to make and is very comfortable to wear.
Fabric Used: A cotton/poly blend lightweight woven, white with a very pale blue floral pattern.
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made: The stash fabric I had was much less than the pattern recommends. So, I cut it somewhat with the grain, not on the bias, as it fit best on the fabric. Deleted the back seam by cutting on the fold. I'm a 24-A top, so reduced the bust darts, but a 30-ish bottom with no visible waist, so I flared the bottom out a little more to give ease around the belly and hip area. As I loose weight, I can put the back seam in, and probably add some darts to keep it fitting my new size.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes, As soon as possible. and Yes.
Conclusion: it's easy and cute even on plus size and we usually don't get that. Other reviewers have been on the small sizes and they were happy too.
