|Pattern Description: Loose fitting shirts have short sleeves, forward shoulder seams, collar with stand in one, View A has breast pocket, View B fronts and front sleeves are made in from a contrast fabric. I made View A.|
Pattern Sizing: Mens S - XXL
Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yes
Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I disliked the 1/4 inch seams, my fabric liked to ravel, so a larger seam would have been easier to sew.
Fabric Used: Linen blend
Pattern alterations or any design changes you made:
I folded the top of the pocket toward the outside of the garment instead of the inside and top stitched about an inch down, this gave a nice design detail, I also did this with the sleeves to continue the detail. I did not make any change in length.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Yes, I would sew it again, however, I would like to sew a Mens shirt with a true collar and stand also.
Conclusion: I made this for my son and gave it to him as a birthday gift, he says that it is the most comfortable shirt he has ever had. Hubby has also requested one.
